I have made this animation as part of our topic study this term. I liked recording my voiceover. I made a few mistakes but got it right at the end. Hope you enjoy listening to and watching my animation.
Rita has been learning about different types of dinosaurs and has mixed them all up to create her own invented dinosaur. She has described each dinosaur to tell us about what is special about them.
In her writing Rita has been thinking carefully about the words in sentences to make them clearer for the audience. Can you hear which ones have 1 clause, and which sentences have 2?

We know all about the 'ound' word family. Knowing this sound helps us to spell other words in the word family. We also learnt some new words - did you know a 'hound' was another name for a dog?
The Hawks literacy group have been reading about prehistoric mammals. They were very different to the dinosaurs. We think we know why the mammals are still around and all the dinosaurs have gone.
How big is a real dinosaur? Room 12 wanted to find out what a 20 metre long Apatosaurus looked like, so we drew it to scale on the court. Take a look at how we did it.
