When I visited New Zealand I attend a cultural ceremony outside Rotorua where the food was prepared in a pit. It was delicious. Was that a Umu?
Wow yummy solid art
Hea Selina, I like how you through in all sorts of differnt kinds of foods in your pit it looks really"COOL"
Hi SelinaI'm so happy that I stumbled upon your post. I love this post of yours. There's nothing like eating food cooked in an umu Niuean style, especially if you're a Niuean like me! Today I had some 'takihi' that had been cooked in an umu. Its a dish made from sliced taro, layered with pawpaw and then covered in coconut cream....YUM!Mrs Lagitupu
